It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Kirby Wilson, who left us on March 30, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on February 19, 1970, David was a vibrant soul whose warmth and humor touched all who knew him.

David was a devoted son to his beloved mother, Patricia Osborne, and a loving big brother to Robby Osborne and John Pat Wilson. His confidence was matched only by his humility, making him a joy to be around. He had a peculiar fondness for his hair, which he maintained with care and pride. A sassy individual with a brilliant sense of humor, David was known as a huge cut-up, always ready to share a laugh.

An automotive enthusiast, David loved fast cars, old cars, and everything in between. He found joy and fulfillment in working on cars, embodying a true passion for the artistry and mechanics of vehicles. Those who knew him fondly recall the many hours spent in the garage, often accompanied by his favorite song, “Bad to the Bone.”

In addition to his love for cars, David enjoyed challenging himself intellectually through a good game of chess, often engaging family in friendly competition.

David is survived by his mother, Patricia Osborne, his sister, Sandi Wilson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his step father, Bobby E Osborne, father, Mike Wilson, brothers, John Pat Wilson and Robby Osborne, his beloved maternal grandparents, Virgil and Pauline Calahan, paternal grandparent, Stella Steadman and Charles Wilson, and uncle, Ernie “Bubba” Calahan. David's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2026, at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Park Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home beginning at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026. It will continue Friday, April 3, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 10:00 AM. 

Pallbearers are Daniel Cook, Bradley Cozart, Willie Calahan, Joe Calahan, Morgan Montgomery, and Jeremy Calahan. Honorary pallbearers are Tiffany Allen, Jessica Moore, Ian Zijlstra, Emma Zijlstra, Blake Osborne, Ally Osborne, Sandi Wilson, Ryan Montgomery, and the staff at NHC. We invite all who loved David to join us in honoring his legacy and the indelible mark he made on our lives.

Rest in peace, dear David. You will be dearly missed.
