David W. Rogers, age 76 died on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his residence. David retired with 35 years of service from International Comfort Products. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid quail hunter, bird dog trainer, and golfer. David was born to the late Albert Houston and Lucille Tate Rogers. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Rogers, Randell Rogers, a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jean Darnell, and a grandchild, Andrea Murdock. David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Ann Rogers, five children, Kewin (Terri Lynn) Rogers, Tammy Rogers (Shawn) Moradypoor, Mike (Colleen) Watson, Kim Murdock, Matt (Terra Jean) Watson, fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with five more on the way, a special niece, Connie Bradley, and two sisters-in-law, Ruby Rogers and Emily Rogers. Visitation will be held at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with burial to follow in the Talley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Monroe Carell Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt, 2200 Childrens Way, Nashville, TN 37232.
