It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Keith Cook, who departed this life on April 29, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on January 29, 1960, in Shelbyville, TN.


Danny was known for his passion for cars, whether it was working on them or showcasing his prized vehicles at car shows. A dedicated fan of the legendary Dale Earnhardt, he cherished the thrill of racing and the camaraderie it brought. His love for classic rock and roll music filled his home with joy, creating lasting memories for family and friends alike.


Above all, Danny was proud of his role as a grandfather. He found immense happiness in spending time with his grandsons, sharing stories, and teaching them about life and his many interests.


Danny is survived by his wife, Lisa Bivins Cook; stepdaughters, Misty Donald Beard and Monica Donald Blythe; sisters, Kathi Cook Taylor (Tom) and Joni McAnnaly; seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; nephews, Chris Richards, Shane Crane (Renee), David Crane (Chasity) and Randall Ventress; niece, Kaila Taylor; and several other extended family members. He was preceded in death by, his father, W.B. Cook; mother, Audrey Swain Jackson; stepfather, James Jackson; and sister Denetra Cook.


Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Danny’s family will have a private service at a later date.
