Dale Robert O'Dell, aged 80, of Belfast, Tennessee, passed away on April 29, 2025. He was born on August 25, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, and spent his life embracing the open road as a dedicated truck driver. Dale's spirit was as vast as the highways he traveled, and he cherished every moment spent on his journeys.
Dale was known for his special way of loving those around him, particularly his children. He was actively involved in their lives, attending their activities and supporting them in every endeavor. His love for food was rivaled only by his passion for fishing and baseball, where he often found joy and camaraderie. He also had a great affection for dogs, which were a constant source of companionship and warmth in his life. Renowned for his sense of humor, Dale could brighten any room with a well-timed joke or a hearty laugh.
Dale leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. His family and friends will miss his vibrant spirit and the warmth he brought to their lives.
Dale is preceded in death by his father, Clayton O’Dell; mother, Ruby Missler; stepmother, Theresa O’Dell; sons, Michael Robinson and Dale Kern; and son-in-law, Eddie Bowles. He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Robinson, Lisa Browning (Mark), Denise Shuck (Rick), Patty Kern (Mike), Laura Bowles and Sonya Blunt (Lee); brothers, Paul Marks (Anita), Clarence O’Dell, and Sandy O’Dell; sister, Sherri Marks; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dale's journey on this earth may have ended, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Dale. You will be dearly missed.
