Charles English Skillern

Charles English Skillern, age 83 passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg, TN. He was born in Rockdale, TN on November 26, 1933 to the late James 'Watt' Walton and Addie Laura Bassham Skillern. Charles served his country in the US Navy, worked for Hidden Acres and attended the Cornersville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Carolyn Hardy Skillern, son, Christopher Skillern, and brothers, Bennie F. Skillern, and James W. Skillern, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Rose (Wilder) Skillern, Lewisburg, TN, three sons, Mark (Marie) Skillern, Killen, AL, Eric (Steve) Skillern, Gallatin, TN, Randy (Patty) Blackwell, Bristol, TN, two daughters, Amy Blackwell, Donna Blackwell both of Lewisburg, TN, five grandchildren, Baylee (Chris Nix) Skillern, Caroline (Craigan) Scott, Angela Lowe, Jessica Blackwell, Alyson Blackwell, and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Nix, Grayson Graybel, Laken Newcom, and Braxtyn Nix.
Visitation is planned with the family on Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
