Charles "Charlie" Blackwell

Charlie left this earth to be with the lord on August 8, 2020. Charlie loved his family, woodworking, mowing his field, and was an avid pool player. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 15th at 1:00 P.M. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Friday, August 14th from 4:00 - 8:00 at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Charlie was born on October 25, 1954, to Leonard and Robbie Mae Cozart Blackwell. He was the second youngest of 10 children. Charlie owned and operated Blackwell Sales & Tires for 25 years. Prior to that he owned and operated a flea market 10 years. He retired in September of 2015. Charlie was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survivors include his sons, Jeromy (Candy) Blackwell ,Anthony Blackwell, Chris (Brandy) Blackwell all of Shelbyville; brothers, Les (Melba) Blackwell and Dennis Blackwell both of Lewisburg; sisters, Sadie Hobbs, Debbie Linley, Pauline Hulshof, Carol (Austin) Smith, Virginia Allen, Julene Reese, Patricia Malave all of Lewisburg, seven grandchildren, Zack Blackwell, Trevor Chaney, Chelsey Blackwell, Briana Blackwell, Savannah Blackwell, Xander Blackwell, Brayden Blackwell; two great-grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. Honorary pallbearers include his grandchildren and brothers, Les and Dennis Blackwell.
