Carolyn Sue Lynch, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 28, 1945, in Portageville, Missouri, Carolyn was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.
Carolyn had a rich and rewarding career soldering computer boards at Teledyne, showcasing her dedication and skill in her work. Beyond her professional life, she was a passionate individual who enjoyed many pastimes, including fishing, bowling, and golf. She cherished sunny days at the beach, where she found peace and joy in nature's beauty. An avid television enthusiast, Carolyn loved spending evenings watching her favorite shows with family and friends.
Faith played a central role in Carolyn’s life; she loved God deeply and exemplified that love through her kindness and generosity towards others. She is survived by her loving family, who will always remember her warmth, laughter, and unwavering support.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and share fond memories. The burial will follow at Sunset Park.
Jonathan Thomas, David Pratt, Scotty Lynch, Timothy Lynch, Anthony Lynch and Michael Lynch will serve as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers are Dustin Harper, Tom Martin, Wes Heinz, Dave Stein, Michael Brannon, Josh Brannon, and Jeff Grissom.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Martha Wilburn Yocom; her husband, Jerry Wayne Lynch; and brothers, Tommy Yocom and Johnny Yocom. She is survived by her sons, Scotty (Carolyn) Lynch, Timothy Lynch, Anthony (Lori) Lynch, and Michael (Desiree) Lynch; brother Junior Yocom; sister Patricia (Larry) Richardson; and grandchildren, Astrea Young and Dustin Harper.
Carolyn will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the impact she had on those around her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local charity of your choice in her memory.
