Brenda Gayle Grogan Smith, 61, of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Williamson Medical Center.
She was born in Cookeville, TN on June 24, 1953, to Austin Peay and Emma Ruth Phillips Grogan. She graduated from Marshall County High School in 1971 and married James Edward Smith on June 12, 1971.
Brenda was a beloved member of the community and employee of People's and Union/First Farmers Bank for more than 29 years.
She is survived by her husband Ed, one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Nichole and Jody Duvall of Nashville; her parents, Austin and Ruth Grogan of Lewisburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Gloria Grogan of Mooresville; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim Grogan and Wayne Patton of Lewisburg and Peachtree Corners, GA, and ten nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held, in celebration of Brenda's life, Saturday, September 20, at 11:30 AM in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be receiving visitors for a reception at Westvue Church of Christ, immediately following the service.
