Barry Wayne Spivey

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Wayne Spivey, who left us on February 25, 2026, at the age of 55. Barry was born on June 30, 1970, in Lewisburg, TN, where he spent his life working in industrial maintenance and honing his extraordinary knack for fixing just about anything. He was a true craftsman, good with his hands, and always enjoyed tinkering with projects that brought him joy. Barry had a unique personality that made him loved by all who crossed his path. He was intelligent, hardworking, and a homebody at heart. Although he was quiet, he had a way of leaving a lasting impression on people.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tracy Whitehead Spivey, father and step-mother, Thomas Wayne (Emogene) Spivey, mother, Linda Mae Bryant Spivey, son, Wilson Spivey (Olivia), daughter, Sydnie Spivey Lopez (Humberto Lopez) brothers, Bobby Spivey, Billy Spivey (Teresa), and Brent Spivey (Asontia), sister, Tescile Gallagher (Andy), step brother, Dennis Hunter, grandchildren, Wyatt Spivey, Walker Spivey, and Savannah Spivey.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with burial followed at Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home beginning at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026. It will continue Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
