Amanda Humphrey

October 26, 1967 — June 15, 2025

Amanda Jerald Humphrey, beloved wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on October 26, 1967, in Florence, Alabama, Amanda brought joy, laughter, and a vibrant spirit to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Residing in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Amanda dedicated her life to her passions, working as a realtor, caterer, and florist. She not only excelled in her professions but infused each role with her warm heart and contagious smile. To Amanda, every person was a friend waiting to be made, and she would always extend a second chance to those in need of forgiveness. Her sparkling blue eyes and cheerful demeanor lit up every room she entered, and she had an incredible ability to connect with others and bring out the best in them.

Amanda truly loved her family and friends, and her spirit will continue to shine through their cherished memories of her. As a testament to her loving and nurturing nature, she was set to be honored as "Grandmother of the Year" in October by the Miss Universe Alms Pageant, a recognition that speaks volumes about her impact in her community, particularly in supporting young women in their journeys.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, Billiam Gerald and Sarah Elizabeth Thigpen Lash; and sister, Betty Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Tim Humphrey; daughter, Tara Lashwood (Bryan); brother Kerry Lash; sister, Shelia Campbell (Dale); grandchildren, Alex and Arianna; niece, Angela Elliott (Hunter); sister in law, Mary Lash; bonus daughter, Whitley Green; and bonus grandchildren, Khloe and Chandler.

We invite all to celebrate Amanda’s extraordinary life and the countless memories shared. A visitation will be held at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home on June 19, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather and honor her memory. Visitation will continue Friday, June 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow on June 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Sunset Park. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a memorial scholarship fund established at First Commerce Bank, which will benefit the winner of the Miss Marshall County Pageant, honoring Amanda’s belief in empowering young women in her community.

As we say goodbye, we hold tight to the joy and love Amanda brought to our lives. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire us all. We will forever carry her spirit in our hearts.
