Walter Ewing

Mr. Walter Hooten Ewing, age 83 of Lewisburg, died Monday morning in NHC-Oakwood.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Grace Hunter Ewing; two sons: Tony Cheryl Ewing and Mickey Paulette Ewing, all of Lewisburg; two grandsons: Clay Ewing of Thompson Station and Drew Ewing of Lewisburg; 1 sister: Rachel Hosey of Memphis, TN.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late William Newton and Anna Mae Hooten Ewing. He served his country in World War II as a Tech. Sergeant in the United States Army, 497th Air Service Squadron, and as a member of the Verona Methodist Church, served his church as teacher for the Mens Sunday School Class for several years.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial in the McCurdy Cemetery at Verona.
The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and until the funeral hour Wednesday for visitation.
