Virginia Holder

November 16, 1923 — January 4, 2005

Mrs. Virginia Brown Holder, age 81 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday morning in Boulevard Terrace Nursing Center in Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Holder was a native of Maury County, daughter of the late Will and Louise Lavender Brown, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie D. Holder; and a sister: Rebecca Blackwell. She had made her home in Lewisburg until her health began to fail her in recent years.

She is survived by her daughter: Linda Knox Curtis of Murfreesboro; a brother: W R Brown, Jr. of Franklin, two grandsons: Keith Lillian Curtis of Benson, NC, and Mitchell Mellicent Curtis of Murfreesboro; 2 nieces: Mary Ellen Blackwell of Lewisburg and Janice Buford of Franklin; and 4 great-grandchildren: Kalyn, John, Claire, and Camron Curtis.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, with burial in the Harmon Cemetery.

The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 4:00 8:00 PM on Wednesday for visitation, and Thursday until the funeral hour.

Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mrs. Holder.
