Virginia Lee Brown Darnell, 87, resident of Lewisburg, died Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Mrs. Darnell will be conducted Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 2 :00 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in Talley Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 9:00 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
Born in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Gaynell Murdock Brown. Mrs. Darnell was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cooper Darnell. She was a homemaker and a member of Hardin Chapel Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Lester Crane of Columbia; her son, Larry D. Darnell of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Michelle Mike Pohlkamp of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kimberly Jason Mallory of Nashville, Tammy Tim Been Darnell of Nashville, Angela Jim Baldwin of Dunlap, Tennessee, Jeff Sherry Crane of Columbia, Brian Darnell of Lewisburg; nine great grandchildren; brother, Charles Harold Betty Brown of Leipers Fork. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Brown and Glen Brown.
Pallbearers will be Mike Darnell, Thomas Darnell, David Miller, Greg Brown, David Brown, and Charles Brown.
