Mrs. Valta Lee Pigg Harris, age 90, of Lewisburg passed away this morning March 10, 2008 at Rosewood Manor in Columbia.
She was a native of Marshall County and the daughter of the late Jimmy C. Pigg and Mazie Endsley Pigg. She was a homemaker and a member of the Richland-Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by three brothers Russell Pigg, Billy Pigg, Harold Pigg; two nieces Vickie Williams and Carolyn Baird. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Robert Bob Harris of Lewisburg, one sister, Charlotte Earonhart of Cornersville, one sister in law, Jean Griggs of Lewisburg, one brother in law, J.B. Jake Harris of Lewisburg. Seventeen nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Harris will be conducted Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Buddy Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
