Thomas A Wells
Mr. Thomas A. Wells, age 86, of Lewisburg, formerly of Nashville and LaFollette, TN passed away on March 16, 2009 at NHC-Lewisburg.
A native of Watertown, Tn he was the son of the late Thomas Gilbert Wells and Amanda Spurlock. He was retired from Sealtest Foods and was a member of the East LaFollette Baptist Church.
Mr. Wells is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Carolyn Traughber Wells and a grandson, Dana Adcock.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Betty Gatlin Wells of Lewisburg, TN two daughters, Wanda Glenn Adcock, Lynn Bubba Tankersley both of Lewisburg, two sons, Gary Brenda Wells of Lewisburg and Thomas G. Buddy Wells of Seymour, TN, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Wells will be conducted on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Brother J.T. Hargrove officiating with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzhiemers Association or to Saint Jude's Children's research Hospital.
