Mr. Thomas L. Jobe, Sr.

Mr. Thomas Loval Jobe, Sr., 84, a resident of Todd Avenue in Lewisburg, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Jobe will be conducted Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Joe Corley and Tony Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in the Short Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Belfast native was the son of the late Zedrick T. and Lacie McDaniel Jobe and was the husband of Audalene Hemphill Jobe. He was retired with 30 years of service at the Lewisburg Post Office. He was a member of the DAV Chapter108, the American Legion, and NARFE. He was a member of the Hickory Heights Church of Christ and proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James Edward Carol Jobe of Hendersonville, TN and Loval Debra Jobe of Lewisburg, TN; a brother, Grady Patrick Jobe of Dayton, KY; a brother and sister-in-law, Corky and Martha Clendenin of Mt. Juliet, TN; 5 grandchildren, Michael Jobe, Bonnie Jobe, David Jobe, Megan Jobe, and Stephen Jobe; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Jobe, David Jobe, Stephen Jobe, Keith Clendenin, Steve Clendenin, and Matt Cendenin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the DAV Chapter 108 and retired postal employees.
