Mrs. Sara Wheat Williams, age 87, formerly of Lewisburg passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 in Nashville, TN.
A native of Marshall Conuty she was the daughter of the late Dr. L.E.Wheat and Mattie Pugh Wheat. She was retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Agriculture as a medical technologist. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Nashville and a long time member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband W.D." Bill" Williams, three sisters; Dorothy Wheat Gillespie, Lucille Wheat and Bessie Hardison. Three brothers; Luther Wheat, Lee Wheat and Dr. Tom Wheat. One niece; Martha Wyatt
She is survived by a host of nieces , nephews, great nephews and one great niece.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery.Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Nashville or the Salvation Army.
