Sara Cummings

Mrs. Sara Neil Cummings, age 88, was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Callie Orr McLain.

Although she had made her home in Tullahoma since 1995, Mrs. Cummings was a native of Belfast, TN where she was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church. After graduating from Middle Tennessee Teachers College, she began teaching with the Marshall County School System at Ostella. She then moved to the Belfast School and finished her 30 year career at Hardison School in Lewisburg. She was a member of the Marshall County Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by her daughter: Susan Cummings Camp of Lynchburg; and a brother: William Buddy McLain of Lewisburg. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Dallas Dub Cummings, her son: William Roe Cummings; and a sister: Rebecca Talley.

Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mrs. Cummings.
