Mrs. Ruth J. Gwin, 81, resident of Cornersville, passed on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Maury Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Saturday, July 16th at 11 AM in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh and Hamilton Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 10:30 until service time at the funeral home.
Born in Georgia, Ruth was born on January 11, 1941, to the late Mark H. Jones and the late Lela Foster Jones. She enjoyed baking, reading, and gardening. Mrs. Ruth was a wonderful wife, mother grandmother and was always caring for other people. She was very giving and never expected anything in return. Mrs. Ruth was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her sons, Hugh (Brenda) Sandifer and Regan (Marie) Sandifer; brothers, Robert (Brenda) Jones and Kenneth (Brenda) Jones; sister Jo Jones and grandchildren, Lewis Clay Sandifer and Jonathan C. Sandifer.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Ronald Sandifer; second husband Robert Gwin and six siblings.
