Ruby Dean Agent Cates, 73, resident of Lewisburg, died on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at residence surrounded by her family.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 17, a private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Park Memorial Gardens.
Born on September 9, 1946 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Lester N. Agent and the late Willie Mae Fitzgerald Agent. Ruby enjoyed waking crafts and walking. She was an avid fan of wrestling and NASCAR.
Survivors include her husband, James Douglas Cates of Lewisburg; daughters, Carol Burns and Sherry Wallace both of Lewisburg; sisters, Linda Faye Hester of Columbia, Joyce Fautt Jarrell of Lewisburg; four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Lester Lee Agent, Larry Gene Agent, Thomas Wayne Agent, and sister Virginia Lorene Collins.
