Ricky Sherrell Slick Blackwell

Ricky (Slick) Sherrell Blackwell, age 62, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, TN. A Lewisburg native Ricky was born to Leslie and Mary Evelyn Smith Blackwell on March 3, 1956. He was the warehouse coordinator for Blalock Plumbing and Heating. Ricky was a lover of Harley motorcycle riding, playing with his grandchildren and family but was especially a lover of reading and studying the Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Mary E. Blackwell, a son Leslie Hoyle Blackwell and a daughter Tessie Dianne Blackwell. Ricky is survived by his wife of forty-five years Connie Hayes Blackwell and a daughter Jessica (Chris) Ring both of Lewisburg, TN; two grandchildren Destinie (Jacob) Durose, Christa Ring; and three great-grandchildren Nevaeh Ring, Zander Ring, and Avalynn Durose.

Visitation with the family will be held in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the same location at 2:00 pm with Rick Stephens officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chris Ring, Jacob Durose,' Beezer' Blalock, Bufford Jones, Dennis Blackwell and Mike Gray. Burial will follow in Sunset Park Cemetery, Lewisburg, TN.
