Mrs. Ramona Rochell Rhea,78, a resident of Highland Avenue in Lewisburg, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Roanoke, Virginia where she has lived for the past month.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rhea will be conducted Friday, September 22, 2006 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Leslie Glover officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
The Birmingham, Alabama native was the daughter of the late Raymond Rome and Nancy Lavinder Rochell. She was a homemaker and member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Percy McDill Rhea, Sr. of Lewisburg, TN; a son, Dr. Randall Rochell Rhea of Roanoke, VA; two sisters, Juanita R. Blackwell of Chapel Hill, TN and Lois R. Ingram of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by a son, Percy McDill Rhea, Jr. and a brother, Raymond Rome Rochell, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the Ramona R. and Percy M. Rhea Scholarship Fund c/o Rhodes College, 2000 N. Parkway, Memphis, Tennessee 38112.
