Ralph Thompson

Mr. Ralph Calvin Thompson, age 79,of Lewisburg, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.
He was a native of Micaville, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Ralph Richard Thompson and Viola Allen Thompson. He was a veteran serving in the United States Airforce during the Korean War, and was retired from Teledyne as a manufacturing engineer. He loved golfing and also worked at Saddlecreek Golf Club. He was a member of the Burnsville Free Will Baptist church.
Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his parents; Ralph and Viola Thompson.
He is survived by his wife Tommie Edwards Thompson, one daughter, Teri Foster of Petersburg, two sisters; Wreda Chrisaw of Manassa, Virginia, Pauline Anglin of Waynesville, North Carolina. One brother; James Lee Thompson of Burnsville, North Carolina. Two grandchildren; Kaylee Foster and Jesse Foster.
Funeral Services for Mr. Thompson will be conducted on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery, with Brother Paul Lucas officiating.
The United States Air Force will provide military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society
