Minnie Knowis

Mrs. Minnie Lorene Knowis, age 91 passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at NHC- Oakwood.
A native of the Pottsville Community, in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Belva Collins Davis and John Davis. She was a homemaker and retired Recreational Director at NHC- Oakwood. She was also a member of Church Street Church of Christ.
Mrs. Knowis is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Rufus Knowis 2002.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann Knowis of Lewisburg, special friend and caregiver, Dot Phifer Parsons and special friends at Lewisburg City Hall.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knowis will be conducted on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Bill Tankersley officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Church Street Church of Christ Library.
