Mildred Carroll

Mrs. Mildred Virginia Griffin Carroll, age 77, of Lewisburg passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski, TN. A native of Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Viola Pewitt Griffin and Ingomar Griffin Sr. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by three brothers Jerry Griffin, Robert Griffin, and Ingomar Griffin Jr. and two sisters, Francis Robinson and Helen White. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Bobby Carroll of Lewisburg, one son, Steve Carroll of Lewisburg, three brothers Wendell Griffin of Pulaski, Louie A. Griffin of Ardmore, TN, Harold Griffin of Ardmore, A and three sisters, Betty Fox of Elkton, Ruth Johns of Washington, IL, Jane Stapp of Pulaski and one grandson Wesley Carroll of Lewisburg. Graveside services for Mrs.Carroll will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery with Tom Sumners officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
