Melissa Kay Jett Jamison, age 46 died Friday afternoon at her home in Clinton, Tennessee.
Born in Marshall County, Melissa was the daughter of the late Isabell Whitesell Jett. Granddaughter of the late Kate Whitesell and sister of the late Ricky Jett. She was a beloved wife, sister and friend, and will be remembered by many for her lively spirit, charity and loving kindness.
Melissa is survived by her husband: Dave Jamison of Clinton; two brothers: Danny Jett of Petersburg, and Mike Jett of Lynchburg; four sisters: Rhonda Jett of Lewisburg, Theresa Jett of Shelbyville, Sandra Hargrove of the Wheel Community and Diane Wright of Clinton; a step-daughter: Amy Catherine Jamison of Franklin; and step-son: Robert William Jamison of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, officiated by John Edwards. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, and Wednesday until the funeral hour.
Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in Melissas memory.
