Mac Bruington

January 8, 1915 — July 7, 2005

Mr. Mac Bruington, age 90 of Richmond, Virginia, formerly of Lewisburg, died Thursday, July 7, 2005.

Born in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles and LuAnna Bessie Roberts Bruington. Mr. Bruington was a retired service manager with General Electric Radio division and a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA. Known as W4NJE, Mac was a longtime amateur radio operator. His love of Southern Gospel music was lifelong, and he was personally known my many of the quartets and performers.

Mac is survived by his beloved wife: Marzee Boyd Bruington of Richmond; a son and daughter-in-law: Charles & Gwen Bruington of Rocky Mount, VA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Childrens Home, 1304 Bernard St., Denton, TX 76201.

Funeral services to be conducted Sunday, July 10 at 4:00 PM at the Morrissett Funeral Home in Richmond, VA.

Under the direction of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 13 in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mr. Bruington.
