Kathleene Merrell

February 14, 1959 — June 8, 2013

Kathleene Flowers Merrell, age 54 of Freeport, Florida passed away on Saturday, June 08, 2013 at the home of her sister Jean Young in Lewisburg. Mrs. Merrell was a native of Ohio and the daughter of Kenneth R. Flowers of Lawrenceburg, TN and the late Deana G. Flowers. She was a 1977 graduate of Chauala High School in Chauala, AL. She received a law degree in criminal justice following high school. She was a dedicated and beloved bus driver for South Walton County and Freeport, FL.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by three brothers Kenneth, Richard, Daniel Flowers, one sister Joyce Ogg and a stepson Robert L. Merrell Jr. She is survived by her husband Robert L. Merrell of Freeport, FL, one stepson Christopher Merrell of Tampa, FL, one stepdaughter Regina of Indiana and seven stepgrandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters Susan Haney of Freeport, FL, Janet Cunningham of Adjer, AL, Jean Young of Lewisburg, TN and five brothers Philip Flowers of Sommerset Ohio, Robert Flowers of Bybee, TN, Andrew Flowers of Pulaski, TN and Mark and Keith Flowers of Petersburg, TN., fifteen nephews, seven nieces, and several great nieces and great nephews with several adopted animal friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Merrell will be Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home at 11 A.M. with burial in Antioch Cemetery in Elkmont, AL. Family visitation will be Monday, June 10th, 2013 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home and after 9 A.M. until the funeral hour on Tuesday. Serving as pallbearers are Jason Hill, Christopher Booker, Jason Cunningham, Joseph Cunningham, Shane Flowers and Eric Flowers.
