Juanita Elizabeth Glymp Slaughter, born August 22, 1939 to Ada Belle Adair Glymp and Joseph Arlo Glymp, passed away August 13, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Roy James Slaughter Jr, and son: Jody Slaughter.

She leaves behind to mourn, two daughters: Elizabeth Ophelia Slaughter Bollman of Lewisburg, and Kimberley Tamahine Tammie Slaughter Sullivan of Chapel Hill; a sister: Dianne Gary Ross of Toney, AL; two brothers: James Jimmy Glymp of Lewisburg, and David Glymp of North Little Rock, AR; 5 grandchildren; Kristin Culbertson, William Culbertson, Christopher Sullivan, Kara Sullivan, and Kiefer Sullivan; and 4 great-grandchildren: Jody Culbertson, Shianne Hippe, Jason Hippe Jr., and James Christopher Hippe.

Mrs. Slaughter was a native of Marshall County, member of the Nazarene church, and best described as a homemaker and mother.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Samuel Phipps. Interment will follow in the Hopper Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, and again on Tuesday until the funeral hour.
