John Darren Phipps

John Darren Phipps, age 59, of Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2021.
He was born February 17,1962 in Huntington, WV to Samuel and Joyce Phipps. He was proceeded in death by his father, Samuel Phipps.
He was a 1980 graduate from MCHS. And graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University. He was a member Shelbyville First Church of the Nazarene and an ordained Deacon in the Nazarene Church. He loved the Lord and enjoyed teaching his adult Sunday School class and studying the Bible. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed golf. He was a devoted son, husband, and father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Sandra; his daughter Deanna (Brad) Smith of Summertown; his son Scott Phipps of Lewisburg; his mother Joyce Phipps of Lewisburg; his sister Gina (Bob) Johnson of Cornersville; his granddaughter Ada Clara Smith and several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private burial at Sunset Park, Lewisburg, TN, with Rev. Ron DeWitt officiating. No visitation is planned.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville, TN on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 4:00 pm.
