Jessie Mae Tolliver Owens, age 74, of Lewisburg, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at her residence.
A native of Lynnville, TN she was the daughter of the late Laura Alexander Tolliver and Jessie Tolliver Sr. She was a homemaker, a domestic worker and a member of the Second Avenue Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Tolliver and Rose Scribner, along with one daughter, Rosemary Davis.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Mr. Albert Owens Jr. of Lewisburg, one daughter, Debbie Rhodes of Lewisburg, three sons, Craig Owens of Lewisburg, Douglas Owens of Lewisburg and Matthew Owens of Cornersville, one brother. Jessie Tolliver Jr. of Chicago, ILL one sister, Sallie Mae Scribner of Columbia, TN. Nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces , nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Owens will be conducted on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Second Avenue Church of Christ in Lewisburg with Bruce Frierson officiating.
Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
