James Thompson

Biography Mr. James (Jim) Rook Thompson, age 52 of Lewisburg, formerly of Columbia, passed away on March 29, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. A native of Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Barbara Rook Thompson and Joseph Russell Thompson. He was a former employee for the City of Columbia. Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeffrey Joseph Thompson (2006)and a sister, Terry Lee Thompson. Survivors include a sister in law, Joyce Thompson of Antioch, TN and a nephew, Joseph Rook Thompson of Knoxville. A memorial service for Mr. Thompson is scheduled on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM until the service hour.
