James Glymp

February 25, 1943 — August 1, 2005

Mr. James Wesley Glymp, age 62 of Lewisburg, died Monday evening in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Joseph Arlo and Ada Belle Adair Glymp, retired from Mead Containers and a member of the Nazarene church. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his daughter: Kimberly Barnett of Lewisburg; a brother: David Glymp of Sherwood, AR; a sister: Diane Ross of Toney, AL; 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Samuel Phipps. Burial will follow in Sunset Park Cemetery, Garden of Love with full military honors.

The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday for visitation, and Thursday until the funeral hour.

Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mr. Glymp.
