Mrs. Helen M. Green, age 91 of 1050 Yell Road Lewisburg died Thursday night January 31, 2008 at Marshall Medical Center.
Mrs. Green was a native of Texas and the widow of Raymond Green who died on February 9,1993. Her parents were the late Joseph M. Austin and Pearl Starnes. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Cindy Bailliff.
She was a homemaker, retired from Faber Castell and a cafeteria worker at Marshall County High School. She was a member of the FCE Club and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday February 3, 2008 from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Wayne Morgan and Tom Sumners officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in the Berlin Community. The family will visit with friends on Saturday February 2, 2008 from 4:00 til 8:00 PM and on Sunday until the funeral hour.
She is survived by two daughters Felecie Alfred Doggett of Lewisburg and Mary Ruth Ben Massey of Nashville and one son Ray Lynn Green of Lewisburg. Also surviving are two sisters Josephine Stafford and Thelma Rowland and one brother J.W. Austin all of Lewisburg. She is also survived by one granddaughter Susan Pedersen of Brentwood and one grandson Pat Green of Belfast, three step granddaughters Earlene Warren and Darlene Montgomery of Lewisburg and Connie Naimon of Belfast, four great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Pat Green, Dennis Pedersen, Alfred Dogget, Ben Massey, Eddie Warren and Ralph Naimon.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Mashall County High School Basketball teams, coaches and Elizabeth Sowell.
Memorials may be made to the athletic teams at Marshall County High School.
