Gerald Allen Gray
July 2, 1936 — November 27, 2015
Gerald Allen Gray, age 79, of Lewisburg, TN passed away on November 27, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Gray was a native of Chicago, Illinois born on July 2, 1936 to the late Matthew and Rose Bee Williams Gray, Jr.
Gerald retired from the State of Illinois Department of Central Management Services. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was stationed in Taiwan during the Korean War. He was a former member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by a son William Gray and a daughter Katrina Young. Gerald is survived by three sisters; Barbara Jean Jackson of Chicago, Illinois, Barbara Turner of Markham, Illinois and Cynthia Louis-Proctor of London, England, one brother; Erin Gray of Chicago, Illinois and a family friend Betty Nelson of Chicago, Illinois.
Burial will be in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with military honors on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
