Biography
George Edward Poarch, age 65 of Lewisburg passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013, in Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. A native of Lewisburg, Mr. Poarch was preceded in death by his parents, Odell Poarch and Aveleen Copier Poarch. He was a mechanic employee of K & D Motors and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Richardson Poarch, two sons, James Anthony Poarch of Cornersville and Keith Edward Poarch of Columbia, two daughters, Angela Darlene Poarch and Shelia Thorpe, both of Ohio.
Three sisters, Doris Johnson of Columbia, Arcie Poarch of Cornersville, and Sara Downs of Alabama, three brothers, Lonnie Poarch and Andy Poarch of Lewisburg, and Johnny Poarch of Cornersville, two step-children, David Scott Brock and Kimberlee Alsup, both of Cornersville, seven grandchildren, four step-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 2:30 pm from the chapel of Bills-Mcgaugh funeral home with burial to follow in Sunset Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 until the funeral hour.
