Garry Gevedon

August 22, 1947 — October 12, 2015

Mr. Garry Wayne Gevedon went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, October 12, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends after an extended illness. Mr. Gevedon was a former employee of International Comfort Products and retired with 28 years of service as a crane operator. He was an avid horseshoe player, an excellent bowler and fisherman, a great husband, father, brother,and grandfather.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Douglas and Hazel Marie Mealer Gevedon, one sister Debra Kay Gevedon and a brother Doug Gevedon.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Faye Collins Gevedon, daughters, Wendy Faye Hull (Tim Watson)of Cornersville, Sherry Lynn(Jerry)Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, and Rose Marie (Charlie Joe) Williams of Farmington a son, Ray Bradley (Tonya) Gevedon of Lewisburg and one brother, Guy Bradley (Chris) Gevedon of Petersburg, grandchildren, Amber Beard, Jacob Harris, Caleb Harris, John Wayne Gunnels, Barry Lee Gevedon and Joey Gevedon all of Lewisburg. Four great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A candlelight memorial will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 7PM from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
Garry's family and friends will be sharing stories of his life. The family will receive visitors from 4PM until service time.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
