Biography
Mr. Fred Allen Hastings, age 81 of Petersburg, TN passed away on Friday, December 2nd, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, TN. A native of Bedford County, TN, Mr. Hastings was the son of the late Robert Allen Hastings and Margaret Elizabeth Warren and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, a brother Thomas Lester Hastings preceded him in death in 2009.
He is survived by one daughter Fredda Mitchell of Bedford County, two sons Jack (Serina) Hastings and Jim Hastings both of Petersburg and one sister Laure Pigg of Bedford County. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Hastings will be Monday, December 5th, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Harold Davis officiating. Burial will be in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
