Elizabeth Owens

Mrs. Elizabeth Jones Murdock Owen, age 83 passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 at Bordeaux Long Term Care in Nashville.

A native of Petersburg, TN she was the daughter of the late Mary Lizzie Jones and Andy J. Murdock. She was retired as a sales clerk for Harvey's and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Owen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alton Johnson Owen.

Survivors include one son, Mike Owen of Lewisburg, TN three sisters, Margaret Adams of Fayettvile, TN Jean Joel Dyer of Fayetteville, TN, Frances Cater of Petersburg, TN, one brother, John Murdock of Petersburg, TN, two granddaughters, Emily Burns of College Grove, TN and Sherry Paul Pratt of Murfreesboro, TN. Six geat grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services for Mrs. Owens will be conducted on Sunday at 2:30 PM at Talley Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. at the funeral home.
