Mrs. Elizabeth Jett Hill, age 87, of Lewisburg passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008. She was a long time resident of the Verona Community.
Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene Jett and Mattie Elizabeth Sharp Jett. She was a graduate of Cornersville High School, and Draughon's Business College in Nashville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lewisburg where she taught Sunday school and worked in training union for many years, she was retired from Faber Castel Corporation after 39 years of service in quality control, and was honored for the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Tennessee Healthcare Association.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Hill 1992a sister, Francis Leslie, two brothers, Woodrow Jett and Robert Jett and a son in law, Ronald G Harvey.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Farler Harvey of Franklin, TN, Judy Farler Richard Sasek of the Verona Community, one brother, Franklin Jett of Belfast, one grandson, Jason B. Harvey of Nashville, TN , several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hill will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Brother Tom Dumser officiating. A private burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery after services. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 12: 00 PM until the funeral hour.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Bethany Bible School Class
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg or the American Red Cross.
