Effie Lee Harris Osburn, 86, a resident of 3501 Bailey Road in Franklin, Tennessee died Sunday, September 3, 2006, at the home of her son in Thompson Station.

Funeral services for Mrs. Osburn will be conducted Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Franklin Memorial Chapel in Franklin, Tennessee. Burial will be in the Osburn Family Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Franklin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Gary Fewell and Bro.Maurice Thomason officiating. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home of Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Williamson County, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Robert Bob and Annar Gordon Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howlett Osburn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lawrence Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, collecting dolls and stuffed animals.

She is survived by her daughters, Earlene Morgan of Thompson Station; Gayle John Holt of Thompson Station; Elizabeth Snow R. P. King of the Kingfield Community; sons, Rufus Osburn of the Rally Hill Community; Tom Osburn of Franklin; Jesse Sissy Osburn of Thompson Station; Herschel Joyce Osburn of Thompson Station; David Becky Osburn of Thompson Station; Herman Bettye Osburn of the Kingfield Community; Harry Miaona Osburn of the Kingfield Commmunity; sister, Viola Sweeney of Thompson Station; sister, Sylvia Jap King of the Kingfield Community; brother, Henry Jessie Harris of Bon Aqua; a special friend, Anne Goetz of Thompson Station; 25 Grandchildren; 45 Great Grandchildren; 12 Great-Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Frank Osburn and James Osburn; a grandchild, John Wayne Holt; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Harris and William Harris; two sisters, Dora Tidwell and Lillie Vaughn.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Pallbearers will be Joe Holt, William Osburn, Frankie Osburn, Allen Osburn, Free King, Michael King, Merle King, and Steve Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Osburn, Chris Osburn, Chad Osburn, Thomas Gordon, Gideon King, R. P. King, Dr. Tom Jantz, B. J. Pruitt, James Bell, Dr. Joe Moss, Dr. Mark Holt, Leroy Holt, Miss Molly, Page Holt, Dick Moss, Willie Joe King, and Charles Dunn.
