Edna Smith

May 10, 1923 — October 6, 2013

Edna Worley Janeway Smith, age 90 of Chattanooga, Tennessee, a long time resident of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013, in St. Barnabas Rehab Hospital in Chattanooga. A native of Chattanooga, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Clinton A. Worley and Lillian Padillia Worley. She was a long standing member of Berlin United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Janeway and Luther L. Smith, who passed away in 2006, five brothers, Melvin, Clyde, Clinton Jr., William, and Jack Worley, and one sister, Frances Rockholt.

She is survived by three sisters, Ellen Witt of Waynesville, Ohio, Delores Brown and Joyce Gray, both of Ooltewah, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Mrs. Smith will be Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 9 AM in the rotunda at Mid Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee, where she will be laid to rest.

The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Berlin United Methodist Church, 3158 Franklin Pike, Lewisburg, TN 37091 or American Legion Auxiliary, 1320 White Drive, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
