Doyle Hastings

Mr. Doyle H. Hastings, 88, a resident of Delina Road at Petersburg, died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Hastings will be conducted Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Catalpa Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Talley Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, 4 8 p.m. at the Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, 12 2 p.m. at the church prior to services.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Herschell and Pearl Hampton Hastings. He was a graduate of Morgan School. He was married to Ruth Sawyers Hastings for 67 wonderful years. He was a retired farmer, and a former security guard for the City of Petersburg. Mr. Hastings was a member of the Catalpa Church of Christ where he served as an elder for 50 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Janice Harris of Belfast, and Doylene Hastings of Petersburg. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Ruth Hastings.
Pallbearers will be Meriel Pack, Jeriel Pack, Larry Smith, Jessie Frank Head, Tony Williams, Gary Douglas, Nicky Foster, Jeff Pack, and Tim Murdock. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Catalpa Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catalpa Church of Christ, c/o Meriel Pack, 112 Morgan Avenue, Petersburg, TN 37144.
