Dan Short

Dan William Short, age 76 of Lewisburg, died Sunday morning in Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Mr. Short was a native of the Spring Place Community of Marshall County, son of the late Marvin and Iris Dyer Short, and retired from the United States Postal Service with 37 years of service. He was a member of the Hardin Chapel church of Christ where he taught Sunday School and had served as an elder.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Martha Orr Short of Lewisburg; a daughter: Bonnie Dalton of Lewisburg; two sons: Rick Short of Lewisburg, and Randy Short of Columbia; and seven grandchildren: Jennifer Marie Knott, Emily Lenora Hughes, Lindsay Erin Short, William Tyler Short, Adam Joseph Short, Amy Beth Dalton, and Neil Barrett Dalton.
Funeral services will be officiated by Ron Kleine and Paul Orr.
