Charlene Nicholas

Mrs. Charlene Bradley Nicholas,79, widow of Wesley Foster Nicholas, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at her residence on Midway Street in Lewisburg.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nicholas will be conducted Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late John and Lena Mae Darnell Bradley. She was retired director of the Marshall County Memorial Library and was the historian of Marshall County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancye E. Hobbs of Lewisburg, TN; two grandsons, Wesley Scribner and Anthony Hobbs; a granddaughter, Carly Hobbs; a brother, George Bradley of Lewisburg, TN. She was preceded in death by a son, George Foster Nicholas in 1962.

Pallbearers will be John Bradley, Brad Bradley, Alfred Doggett, Jim Nicholas, Lanny Bradley, Don Jeter, Greg Clement, and Jody Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Class of the First United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Marshall County Historical Museum, 230 College Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091.
