Mr. Cecil Leon Franklin, age 78, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at his residence in Lewisburg.
A native of Franklin County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Cecil Albert Franklin and Alice Ludine Bohan. He was retired as an assembly line technician for General Motors Willa Run Plant in Yipsalanti, Michigan for 26 years, and a member of the Pentocostal Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother Ben Franklin.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years; Beatrice Puckett Franklin, of Lewisburg, Son; LarryDiana Franklin of Yuma, Arizona; daughter; RosaJohn Borowski, of Flat Rock, MI; Daughter; Wanda Franklin of Lewisburg; daughter; Yvonne Lewis, of Belleville, MI; son; Chuck Franklin of Manchester, TN; three sisters, Clara Harvey, Mary Wayne Peppers, Helen Eugene Tidwell all of Alabama; Four Brothers; Johnny Marlene Franklin, Charles Albert Franklin, Hudon Franklin of AL; Oscar Vickie Franklin of IL. Eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Franklin will be conducted on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunset Park Cemetery. Sister Mary Ann Pruitt officiating.. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
