Brenda Mitchell

Brenda Geraldine Mitchell, age 60, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at her residence. Ms. Mitchell was born in Cartersville, GA and was the daughter of the late Charles Mitchell and Marie Nix Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tony Buttrum. Brenda loved her family, horses, Nascar, and Alabama football, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one son, Dwayne (Wendy) Buttram of Lewisburg; one daughter, Linda (Phillip) Warren of Soddy Daisy; ; eleven grandchildren, P.J., Nicole, Justin, Kayla, Brittany, Josh, Lane, T.J., Austin, Jesika, and Jeremiah; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kylie, and Tanner; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Payne and Barbara (John) Smith; two brothers, Jimmy (Martha) Mitchell and David Mitchell, all of GA; one aunt, Opal Temples, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ms. Mitchell will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 3 PM at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church in Rydal, GA. Burial will follow in Pleasant Olive Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 12 Noon to 5 PM at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
