Annie Hardison

December 17, 1919 — May 16, 2010

Mrs. Annie Earl Hardison, age 90, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at NHC-Oakwood, Lewisburg. A native of Marshall County, Mrs. Hardison was the daughter of the late Luther VanBuren Cathey and Janie Harber Cathey. She was married to the late Elgie Hardison who died in 1994. She formerly worked at CommonWealth Empire Pencil Company and was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers A.G. Jack Cathey and R. L. Cathey and two sisters Louise Davis and Maggie Thompson.

Mrs. Hardison is survived by three daughters, Margaret Anthony Hall of Columbia, TN, Betty Steve Lancaster of Lewisburg, and Mary Ann Roy Gilley of Murfreesboro, TN. Seven grandchildren Lori Holt of Lewisburg, Carla Clayton of Lawrenceburg, Kelley Lancaster of LaVergne, Greg Lancaster of Lewisburg, Michelle, Michael, Natalie Bailey of Rutherford County, two step-grandchildren Dusty and Shane Gilley of Columbia, also survive her. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and one step-great-great grandchild and one special nephew Frank Cathey of Madison, TN and one special niece Peggy Warden of Lewisburg.

Graveside services for Mrs. Hardison will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery with visitation from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Special friend David Holder will conduct the service.
