Mr. Alonzo Doyle Walker, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at his residence.

A native of Lawrence County, he was the son of the late A.E. Walker and Gertrude Pettus Walker. He enjoyed gospel music, woodworking, fishing, and operating a HAM radio. He was retired from Heil Quaker Corporation after 46 years of service in the quality control department. He was a member of the Masonic Dillahunty Lodge #112, a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Earl Walker and a sister Sara Moise.

Survivors include his wife Faye Bailey Walker, one daughter Deborah Kay Lovvorn, one grandson Michael Lovvorn all of Lewisburg and a brother E. Ray Walker of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Funeral services for Mr.Walker will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with Brother Harold Foster officiating. Masonic rites will take place at the cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Phillips, Charles Dugger, Wayne Haynes, Michael Tipper, Terry Wolaver and Michael Lovvorn.
