Martha Haywood Cross, age 84, of Lewisburg, died peacefully Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 22, 1935 in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Jack Moore and the late Elsie Knight Moore. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Jenny Haywood Harmon; brother, Jim Moore; and sister, Ann Moore Adams.

Martha was known as a strong willed and independent woman, but most importantly her “spit fire” personality. Martha lived a life time of adventures and experiences, some of which would have made a wonderful book.
